Publisher's summary
Though Luke Skywalker feels that his life on a moisture farm on Tatooine is boring, the events seen in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope are neither young Luke's first adventure, nor his first meeting with the mysterious Ben Kenobi. In this story, based on events in the Star Wars Radio Drama, Luke and his friend Windy learn for the first time that the Jundland Wastes are not to be traveled lightly...
Plot summary
Around 6 BBY, Luke Skywalker and Windy Starkiller attempt a journey to Ja-Mero Ridge, but they get held up by a sandswirl. Then Ben Kenobi rescues them and guides them back to the Lars homestead.

Behind the scenes
This story, originally black and white, was printed in color in Star Wars: Luke Skywalker, Last Hope for the Galaxy. In the original, Windy is referred to as both Windom Starkiller and Windy Marstrap (one can assume that Windy is short for Windom). In the reprint, his last name has been corrected; it is mentioned as Starkiller both times.
