The Lota was one of the four akias of Aramandi society. They were based on the planet Aram, and the Lota system has been earmarked for the akia's future colonization. Preparations were underway for the Lota to begin colonization during the early years of the Galactic Civil War.[1]
The Lota were the most conservative akia, taking long periods to make decisions as all options had to be considered and discussion at length. Other Aramandi viewed the Lota as slow moving bureaucrats. Members of the Lota generally dressed in embroidered robes.[1]
