Lorac was the king of the planet Velmor during the era of the rise of the Galactic Empire. The husband of Queen Denira, Lorac fathered two sons, the crown prince Denid and his younger brother Anod.[1] In 17 BBY, the Empire hatched a coup against Lorac after finding that the king held rebel sympathies,[2] fomenting a mob to storm the palace and kill the king and his wife. Denid was forced to flee into exile, while Anod remained behind as the new, Imperial-aligned crown prince.[1]
Behind the scenes
Lorac was first mentioned in Star Wars (1977) 49, written by Mike W. Barr and released in 1981.[1]
