Luke Skywalker signals to the Rebel operators.

L-5 was the callsign of Luke Skywalker when he crash-landed in the polar region of Ota. He used it to contact the Rebel Alliance base on Ota's equator when, in pursuit of a damaged TIE/LN starfighter, his T-65 X-wing starfighter was hit by falling ice chunks and forced to crash.
