Kob sonic blaster
The Kob sonic blaster, also known as the Nagai sonic blaster, was a sonic blaster developed by the Nagai.
Description
A weapon that saw widespread use among Nagai soldiers, the Kob sonic blaster was the size of a large pistol or small rifle, often including a fore-grip, and was considered an elegant weapon due to its versatility.[2][3][1]
The Kob sonic blaster utilized a controlled harmonic wave that could be set to a wide variety of power settings including its lowest setting, "light stun", which emitted a sonic pulse that could stun most known organic life, to its highest setting "deteriorate", which emitted a sonic beam capable of tearing through matter at the molecular level.[2][3]
History
Named after its designer, the cunning General Kruskob Tiltanka of the Nagai, the Kob sonic blaster saw widespread use among the Nagai military,[2] being especially prominent during the invasion of Iskalon.[1] On Iskalon they were tested on captives on the planet, before being deployed against Luke Skywalker and Lando Calrissian as they fought against the Nagai occupation.[1] Due to the power of the weapon, and the Nagai cultural focus on honorable duels, most Nagai military officers felt it was a dishonorable way to fight; a position that wasn't shared by General Kob.[2]
