Kemal Station
Kemal Station was a damp, foggy,[1] terrestrial[2] moon orbiting the gas giant–type planet Kemal in the Kemal Station system, a part of the Arkanis sector in the Slice portion of the Outer Rim Territories. It was situated on the Triellus Trade Route hyperlane, which connected it to the Andooweel and New Ator systems.[1]
Kemal Station served as an informal borderline between the Regency Worlds, which were primarily connected economically to commerce along the Corellian Run hyperlane, and the worlds that were located spinward along the Triellus Trade Route and whose economies were dominated by members of the Hutt species. As a result, Kemal Station serviced both legitimate merchants and smugglers.[1] During the Galactic Civil War, the wealthy entrepreneur Meysen Kayson owned several properties on the moon.[2]
Behind the scenes
Kemal Station was first mentioned in "The Greel Wood Haven," a roleplaying source article authored by Craig Robert Carey and published in the May 1995 sixth issue of the Star Wars Adventure Journal magazine for use with West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[2] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the moon in grid square R-16.[1]
