The Jovan Station was a space station located in the Jovan system.[1]
History
The Jovan Station was the primary Galactic Republic space station in the Gordian Reach during the Clone Wars, and was a stopping point for travelers from Phindar to the Auril sector.[3] It was a very important element in the commerce of the Jovan system.[2] Eight bulk freighters, and later Star Destroyers, could dock at the station simultaneously.[2]
In 19 BBY, Jedi Master Yoda bought the B-7 light freighter Nighthawk in a junkyard on Jovan Station.[3]
After the Battle of Yavin, the Jovan Station became the headquarters of Admiral Amise Griff's blockade of the neighboring Yavin system.[1] This seriously affected the commerce of the entire system.[2]
