A jasper crystal was a rare kind of tasar crystal that had the ability to turn an individual Force-sensitive and to imbue them with a specific Force power after several months of attunement. The jasper crystal was brown, shading to blue-black in color, and had the ability to grant an individual the power of Magnify Senses. The Tasari cult leader Garuk wore a ceremonial headband inset with a jasper crystal. Valjak, a Tasari member of the Kiana, wore a headband with a jasper crystal mounted on it.[1]
