Jared Tome

Jared Tome was a doctor and Imperial Prefect who served the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War. At one point, Tome operated a "re-education center" that was responsible for tormenting Rebel Alliance sympathizers, and he performed medical experiments in them that were considered extreme even by Imperial standards. He was later appointed as a diplomat and he tried to cover up his sinister past. After the criminal Begas Tok stole the slicing program the Shard of Alderaan from the Alliance, Tome attended an auction aboard the Dune Princess sail barge on the planet Tatooine, at which the program was to be sold.
