J9-5 was a feminine Roche worker drone that was in charge of the Mos Eisley control tower. She had been the property of many owners before settling in Mos Eisley. Unlike her human co-workers, J9-5 was a stickler for regulations and ensuring incoming traffic follows the rules.^[1]
