Ion-scrambler

Ion-scramblers were devices that were used while making transceiver transmissions in order to scramble the source of the communication. This ensured that unwanted listeners would not be able to track the location of a signal's origin point. The Rebel Alliance used ion-scramblers to keep their whereabouts hidden from the Galactic Empire.
