The Imzig species was a sentient[1] Humanoid[2] race native to the planet Couronne.[3] The species differed from base Humans through bony ridges surrounding the formers' eyes,[2] raised eyebrows, and wider nostrils. At least one was light-skinned, with blue mottles on the face, as well as light brown hair. Utris M'Toc was an Imzig[1] male[4] who hailed from his species' homeworld.[5]

When a bloody coup occurred on Couronne, M'Toc, who worked as a member of the monarchical High King's Guard, fled the planet.[5] In 3 ABY, the Galactic Empire occupied Cloud City on the planet Bespin.[6] By that time, M'Toc had joined Cloud City's Wing Guard, becoming a leader in the security force,[1] and he was present on Cloud City during the Imperial takeover.[5]

Behind the scenes

The Imzig species was created by Utris M'Toc's card in the 1997 Cloud City Limited expansion set of Decipher, Inc.'s Star Wars Customizable Card Game.[1] According to Star Wars author Stephen J. Sansweet, M'Toc was considered for use in the 1980 original trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back but was apparently never filmed[4] and can only be seen in production photos taken on set.[7]
