During the Galactic Civil War, the Galactic Empire maintained a research facility on the Tagge Company-owned world Pallaxides. The facility was located in the lowlands near the equator, and also included a spaceport. Three system patrol craft maintained a five hundred kilometer exclusion zone around the installation.[1]
