An imager was a device that one could use to take holographic images of people and places.

Major Lesim requested such a device after the surrender of Luke Skywalker, famed Rebel hero, so that the former could take a holo of the event.

Wes Janson used a handheld imager to take an image of Derek Klivian in his T-65 X-wing starfighter.
