Igaka was a BFF-1 bulk freighter belonging to the Galactic Empire. The freighter was delivering supplies and repairs to the EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate Juvaini just as Rebel Alliance RZ-1 A-wing interceptors and B-wing starfighters arrived to destroy the frigate.
Behind the scenes
Like many of the freighter names in X-Wing, it is a real-life name spelled in reverse. Akagi was the name of a Japanese aircraft carrier during World War II. It may also refer to others uses of the name Akagi.
