Ibanjji
Ibanjji was a terrestrial[3] world[4] located in the Ibanjji system, a part of the Mieru'kar sector[1] in the New Territories portion of[2] the Outer Rim Territories.[1] The conditions on Ibanjji were harsh, and it was home to packs of creatures known as varns. During the reign of the Galactic Empire, it was the site of a special motivational camp[3] used to harden Imperial recruits.[4]
On the recommendation of his Imperial Sub-Adult Group neighborhood warden, Titus Klev, a thirteen-year-old SAGroup member from the[3] Core Worlds[5] planet Alsakan, was selected to attend the motivational camp on Ibanjji[3] as part of his training[4] at some point before the Battle of Endor[3] of 4 ABY.[5] During his time at the motivational camp, Klev saved an instructor from a wild pack of varns. As a result, the recruit received approval to join Imperial CompForce despite being four years under the standard age.[3]
Behind the scenes
Ibanjji was first mentioned in the 1993 Dark Empire Sourcebook, which was authored by Michael Allen Horne and published by West End Games for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[3] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Ibanjji system, and therefore the world Ibanjji, in grid square N-4.[2]
