IPI-1000

The MerenData IPI-1000 was an electronic identification device. Recognized nearly universally by planetary authorities and banking institutions, the IPI-1000 was an electronic identification and personal information display unit. Capable of scanning all manner of documents, the IPI-1000 was capable of holding up to twelve documents and then encrypting them under one of ten security levels (with each level requiring a personal access code to display, modify, rewrite, or rescan the document in question). The IPI-1000 consisted of a small collapsable datapad with a transparent screen, and was capable of displaying documents via screen or holoprojector.
