Hyperdrive Station A-226

Hyperdrive Station A-226 was a technical sector of the Imperial battlestation known as the Death Star. The stations' powerful hyperdrive system was housed in that sector and monitored from there.[4]

Behind the scenes

The image used to represent Hyperdrive Station A-226 in the Death Star Owner's Technical Manual was actually a digitally-manipulated screenshot from Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. Chris Trevas and Chris Reiff modified a picture of Vader and Tarkin facing a viewscreen so that they were looking at a view of the hyperspace tunnel.[5]
