Holo-scribers were devices used during the forging of fake identifications. When the smuggler Han Solo hired a Tsyklen forger to create fake identifications for him and his Wookiee partner Chewbacca on the planet Nar Hekka[1] circa 5 BBY to 4 BBY,[2] she used holo-scribers. Due to the particularly nimble hands that all members of the Tsyklen species possessed with seven fingers and two thumbs, she was able to manipulate two holo-scribers at once.[1]
Behind the scenes
Holo-scribers were mentioned in the novel The Hutt Gambit released in 1997 as the second book in The Han Solo Trilogy written by A. C. Crispin.[1]
