A hawk was a predatory bird, known for speed and keen eyesight.

Biology

Hawks ate small prey such as sparrows. There were a variety of different species on numerous worlds.

History

Some vehicles, like the Ebon Hawk, were named after this creature. The clone trooper pilot Hawk had a red hawk insignia on his helmet. The word was used as first name by the smuggler and spacer Hawk Carrow.

An elite group of Imperial snowtroopers were named the Snow Hawks.
