Hanod system

The Hanod system was a part of the Corva sector[1] in the New Territories portion of[2] the Outer Rim Territories.[1] It contained the terrestrial astronomical object Hanod.[3] In 7 ABY,[5] New Republic General Airen Cracken listed the Hanod system as the last known location of the Imperial Star Destroyer Krieger in an entry of the datafile Wanted by Cracken dedicated to Imperial Captain Dor Reder.[4]
Behind the scenes
The Hanod system was first mentioned in the 1993 Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game supplement Wanted by Cracken, which was written by Louis J. Prosperi for West End Games.[4] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the system in grid square P-3.[2] Although the entry for the Hanod system in the 2008 The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia claims that it was situated in the Borderland Regions,[6] that placement was overridden by The Essential Atlas, which established that the region did not, in fact, intersect square P-3.[2]
