The HPV-200 Hover Shopper was a small, one-person speeder designed for shopping and running errands in big cities or marketplaces. It was little more than a repulsorlift and a comfortable seat. It had a secure cargo basket mounted on the back.
It was popular with the middle class as a way to avoid the hassle of mass transit. Some techs were known to upgrade the speeder by mounting a swoop bike's engine to the chassis. This doubled the performance, but made it more expensive and harder to control.
