Gray Five/Legends

Gray Five was the call sign used by the fifth member of the Rebel Alliance's Gray Flight or the New Republic's Gray Squadron. As this designation was used by both units, multiple starfighter pilots used the call sign Gray Five.

History

Rebel pilot Luke Skywalker flew an X-wing starfighter as Gray Five as part of Leia Organa's secret squadron after the Battle of Yavin.[1]

Kell Tainer was the fifth member of the New Republic's Gray Squadron prior to the squadron's adoption of its permanent designation, Wraith Squadron.[2]
