The gallon was a a measure of liquid capacity. There existed containers that could hold a half-gallon, and buckets that could hold five of them.[1]
Ice cream could be measured in gallons. Lando Calrissian claimed to be bringing a hundred gallons of beebleberry ice cream to the Imperial starship Courteous as part of his gambit to bypass the blockade of the ThonBoka.[2]
