Gaerboud system

The Gaerboud system, was a system best known for manufacturing the TIE Avenger starfighter for the Galactic Empire. The system was visited by the Ton-Falk-class escort carrier Tropsobor, the Victory-class Star Destroyer Protector, and the Imperial-class Star Destroyer (Mark I) Dauntless in the course of the latter ships' separate missions to acquire complements of Avenger starfighters. The attack on the X7-type factory station Sentinel by a group of Rebel snubfighters during the transfer of Avengers to the Dauntless sparked a minor space battle.

Sentinel was likely destroyed either during the Rebel attack or by the rogue forces of Grand Admiral Demetrius Zaarin in the Imperial renegade's successful campaign to destroy major TIE Avenger production facilities.

Behind the scenes

The system was first seen in the Star Wars: X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter PC game. Its name have a similirity with the planet Gerbaud 2 from Star Wars: TIE Fighter, located in the Sepan system. But the Gaerboud system or Gaerboud IV are not mentioned in any sourcebook.
