Fungus (pl. fungi) was an organism found on countless worlds across the galaxy. These included yeasts, molds, and mushrooms.[source?] While some fungi were poisonous, such as the blood-eating fungus,[1] many varieties were edible.[2][3]

Fungus came in a variety of colors, including blue,[4] blue-green,[5] pink, lavender, peach,[6] violet,[7] yellow,[8] and white. Some types of fungi were also luminescent.[9] Fungi from Bakura were rainbow-colored.[10]

Fungi on the Yuuzhan Vong world of Zonama Sekot were capable of movement on boras in order to search sunlight.[11]
