Forntay was a planet in the Forntay system of the Core Worlds.[1] It was once the homeworld of a sentient species. The natives defeated a group of oppressors in an uprising, according to an ancient text translated by Emiel Skoff. They later became extinct.[2]
Behind the scenes
Forntay was first mentioned in a quote in the first edition of Galaxy Guide 6: Tramp Freighters as "Fortnay". The spelling was adjusted to "Forntay" in the second edition. Originally The Essential Atlas Online Companion included an entry for both; however, a 2015 update of the Companion confirmed that Forntay is the correct canonical spelling.
