Admiral Farsteller was an officer serving in the Alliance to Restore the Republic. Princess Leia Organa believed Farsteller would want to say a few words at the funeral for Luke Skywalker, when she and Han Solo believed Skywalker had perished due to lack of oxygen. Skywalker had instead entered a hibernation trance, forestalling the need for a funeral or a eulogy from Farsteller.
