Faarlsun
Faarlsun was a yellow-white star located in the Faarlsun system,[2] a part of Wild Space's Parthovian Cluster.[1] The two closest orbital positions around Faarlsun were occupied by the searing-hot rock planet Jun and the asteroid belt known as the Zossi Belt. Further out, the star was circled by two terrestrial worlds, the poisonous Weken with its two moons and the habitable Pochi with three natural satellites of its own. The outer orbital positions in the Faarlsun system were occupied by the gas giant–type planets Koss and Calipp, which had eight and twelve moons, respectively.[2]
Pochi was a dry planet that was home to the semi-intelligent Tulvaree avians.[2] At some point by 7 ABY,[3] the Human pirate and warlord Faarl arrived in the uncharted star system. Faarl established his base of operations on Pochi and named the system and its star after himself.[2]
Behind the scenes
Faarlsun was mentioned in the 1993 sourcebook Wanted by Cracken, written by Louis J. Prosperi for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game[2] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Faarlsun system, and therefore the star Faarlsun, in grid square T-4.[4]
