The Eyeball Droid was a repulsor droid armed with a rapid ion gun.
Behind the scenes
The Eyeball Droid is an enemy in the Super Nintendo videogame Super Star Wars. Players first encounter them on Level 3: Sandcrawler (Outside). These droids fly around the player while firing their rapid ion guns. These droids were also used by the Empire. Super Star Wars Official Game Secrets calls it an "Eyeball Droid."
