Extel was the front man for Jabba Desilijic Tiure's operations to increase his influence on Cloud City by acquiring a stake in an arena specializing in shockball tournaments. Because of the bold move, local crime lord Wonn Ionstrike swore to drive Extel out of the city.[1]
