Exchange coupling

Exchange couplings were starship components set along a ship's main power grid. The Arc Hammer contained at least three exchange couplings along its power grid. When the ship was infiltrated by the Rebel Alliance agent Kyle Katarn, he rigged the three couplings with explosives in an attempt to destroy the starship to end its involvement with the Dark Trooper Project. The bid was successful, as the destruction of the couplings caused a chain reaction that tore apart the ship.
