Enhance Force Sensitivity

Enhance Force Sensitivity was a very powerful act, in which a Force-sensitive would give a lesser Force-sensitive a boost in power through use of a ritual ceremony that could take place in any location. This ritual would empower the recipient with the Dark side of the Force, greatly increasing their existing powers, and creating a disturbance that could be felt around the galaxy. It could also be used on objects that were imbued with the Force to augment their power. A reborn Palpatine would perform these rituals on members of his Dark Side Elite.

In addition, the spirit of Emperor Valkorion may have utilized this ability on The Outlander in the jungle of the planet Odessen to strengthen their connection to the Force, if they were already Force-sensitive.

Behind the scenes

It is unknown how this ritual fits in the fact of Midi-chlorians as this use of the Force was first created in 1991, eight years before midi-chlorians were introduced in The Phantom Menace. However, as explained in the writings Darth Sidious obtained from his master, it would be possible to increase the Midi-chlorian count of living beings via the application of the Force.
