Emperor's Ball

The Emperor's Ball was an annual event. One year, as a member of the House of Organa entourage, C-3PO encountered Darth Vader and, believing him to be a new model of guard droid, tried to strike up a conversation. As punishment, he was assigned to preschool duty for a year.
