Elyhek Rue was a male Human pilot who served the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War.
Biography
During the Galactic Civil War, Elyhek Rue flew with the Griffon Flight Wing, a Rebel squadron sent to fight the Imperial subjugation of Ralltiir, where he took part in numerous raids, attacking the Imperial I-class Star Destroyer Devastator,[3] distinguishing himself with a cool head and acrobatic skill in the cockpit. Later transferred to Red Squadron, Rue was given charge of the squadron's fourth flight in the hope of keeping the talented but reckless Nozzo Naytaan, Red Nine, in check.[1]

In 0 BBY, he was present in the Great Temple on Yavin 4 during the briefing for the Battle of Yavin, where he sat next to Lepira and in front of Luke Skywalker and Wedge Antilles. He participated in the ensuing battle under the call sign Red Seven, and was killed in action. After his death, Luke Skywalker successfully destroyed the Death Star.[1][2]
Behind the scenes
Elyhek Rue was played by Mykel Mills.[4][5]
The name and initial backstory for Elyhek Rue was established by the Decipher, Inc. Star Wars Customizable Card Game. According to a Star Wars CCG fan site, Elyhek Rue was named as an anagram of Decipher employee Kyle Heuer,[6] who also developed the Sony Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game. Formerly, Heuer's tournament director designation was "Red 7."[source?]
