EXVR-1 Guardian Grid

The EXVR-1 Guardian Grid, commonly known as the Ion Defense Grid, was a an intricate network of ion field generators contained within a superstructure which could combine their ionic energy into a single ionic pulse capable of shutting down an enemy ship.

The tunnel within the Exovar's Emporium where the Ion Defense Grid was installed had the local nickname of "Ion Alley".

Behind the scenes

The Ion Defense Grid was designed by Paul Danner and Bill Smith for Wretched Hives of Scum & Villainy, a supplement for the Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game that was published by West End Games in 1997.

It was mentioned as one of several defensive measures that was protecting Exovar's Emporium.
