Dream Labyrinth
Dream Labyrinth was a short story written by Peter M. Schweighofer, and it appeared in the "Command Crew" section of The DarkStryder Campaign's Campaign Book. It depicted an incident when Jessa Dajus awoke from a nightmare about being lost in a labyrinth and encountering a dark spider.
Plot
In a dream, Jessa Dajus finds herself in a shifting labyrinth. A distorted voice speaking in a language she does not understand calls out to her. Spying a large, dark spider, it speaks to her and she follows it through the maze.
Stopping when she realizes that the spider is sucking on something, Dajus hears the sounds of tongues lapping at liquid, teeth tearing flesh, and bones breaking. As she creeps forward to see the mangled body, Dajus wakes up in a sweat. Reaching for her blaster, Dajus finds Kentor Sarne's warm hand as he sits on the bed next to her and asks if she was having bad dreams.
