Dorriella
Dorriella was a terrestrial world[3] located in the Dorriella system, a part of the Outer Rim Territories' Wazta sector.[1] A family with three children, including the Human girl Shanna Kinn, lived there, with Kinn spending time with her two older brothers and learning to repair starships as a result.[3]
At some point, military forces of the Galactic Empire arrived at Dorriella and occupied it. During an Imperial raid on a suspected Rebel Alliance hideout, Kinn's family was killed, leaving the girl an orphan. Subsequently, in order to survive on Dorriella's streets, Kinn resorted to thievery and eventually stowed away aboard a freighter that took her off-world.[3]
Behind the scenes
Dorriella was first mentioned in "Fizzi's Slightly Used Starships," a roleplaying game source article written by John J. Richardson III and published in the February 1996 Star Wars Adventure Journal 9.[3] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Dorriella system, and therefore Dorriella itself, in grid square I-17.[2]
