The track was featured on Limited Warfare, a compilation album available in the galaxy by the time[1] between the years 0 ABY and 4 ABY.[2] The song was banned by the Imperial Board of Culture, which deemed Red Shift Limit's music to be anti-Imperial.[1]
Behind the scenes
"Desert Starlight" was first mentioned in Galaxy Guide 9: Fragments from the Rim, a supplement to West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game written by Simon Smith and Eric Trautmann and published in 1993.[1]
