The DataSearch Engine 9C, also known as the TerexComm Deluxe, was a datasearching device manufactured by TerexComm. It could be used to search thousands of data screen units quickly.
Alliance technicians discovered that by coupling it with a power condenser, the DataSearch Engine 9C was capable of detecting low-level encrypted files on a system. However, the drawback to the modification was that the increased power demands destroyed programs and scandocs that it searched.
