The DL-68 Cutting Blaster was a BlasTech Industries cutting blaster, designed for use by scouts and explorers. It produced a "cold blast" of energy, which was a prolonged burst of low-powered cohesive light capable of cutting down a tree. The "cold blast" was not strong enough to throw up sparks or start a fire during its use, but required a great deal of power.[1]
