Chedaki

Captain Chedaki was a Human male who commanded a Rebel blockade runner during the Galactic Civil War. In 3 ABY, Chedaki carried Rebel leader Leia Organa on board his ship on a mission to the remote Shiva system, investigating a strange amount of Imperial interest in the obscure region. Upon arrival, Chedaki and Organa attempted to do short-range scans of the inhabited Shiva IV in the blockade runner's shuttle, only for their vessel to be immediately crippled by unseen anti-matter bombs. Chedaki was killed in the blast, although Organa survived the crash to the planet below.

Chedaki first appeared in Star Wars (1977) 53, written by Chris Claremont and released in 1981.
