An individual was the husband of Celly Organa, a noblewoman from the planet of Alderaan and a sister to Viceroy Bail Organa. He died at some point, making Celly a dowager.

Behind the scenes

Celly Organa's husband was only indirectly mentioned in The Force Unleashed Campaign Guide, which stated that Organa had started "a family of her own."[1] Furthermore, Leia Organa's adopted aunt was referred to as a "dowager" in the 1995 novel Children of the Jedi.[2] That word has two meanings: either a widow who holds a title or property derived from her deceased husband, or an elderly woman of high social station.[3] Since The Force Unleashed Campaign Guide states that Celly Organa had a founded a family, the first meaning applies.[1] According to Barbara Hambly, who authored Children of the Jedi, Celly Organa was single at the time of Leia's upbringing, "either through widowhood, possibly divorce, or her own choice."[4]
