Carconth

A red supergiant, Carconth was five hundred times as large and a hundred thousand times as bright as Coruscant Prime, making it the second-largest and seventh-brightest of the known stars in the galaxy. At the time of the Black Fleet Crisis, the Astrographic Survey Institute and its predecessors had been maintaining supernova watch at Carconth for more than six hundred years. Carconth was the site of New Republic Intelligence Service Anomaly 1033, theorised to be something left behind by a past alien expedition to Carconth.
