By His Own Hand

By His Own Hand is a short narrative written by Greg Gorden for the Imperial Sourcebook, originally published in October 1989 for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.

Plot

It is a first person narration made by an anonymous individual who was shown to be fanatically loyal to the Empire, and especially to its ruler Emperor Palpatine, being close to him, giving a brief account recalling Palpatine's rise to power via subterfuge, and implies that said individual was also fully aware of Palpatine's ties to the Dark Side and supported him because of it.
