Bulk transports were large starships designed to carry far greater quantities of cargo than light freighters. Notable bulk freighters included the Action series transports. Bulk transports saw heavy use with the Alliance Fleet during the Galactic Civil War as supply ships and troop ships.
Behind the scenes
The bulk transport was featured as a ship in the PC strategy game Star Wars: Rebellion. During an in-game video of the Rebel invasion of Coruscant, the Bulk transport can be seen literally filling the sky along side the rest of the Rebel Alliance Fleet.
