Breakdance was a style of dance that required a moderate amount of floorspace.[1] The droid R2-D2 was known to breakdance,[2] having acquired several breakdancing moves like "pop and lock" as well as "headspin."[3]
Behind the scenes
Breakdancing first appeared in "Tail of the Roon Comets", an episode of the animated series Star Wars: Droids: The Adventures of R2-D2 and C-3PO, which was written by Michael Reaves from a story by Ben Burtt.[2]
