Brangus Glee's species
A sentient species existed with a dexterous anatomy that included a head and a humanoid torso with two thin arms and long, wiry fingers. Their head featured two eyes, two nostrils, and a mouth, with a long neck connecting their head to their chest.[1]
The species was renowned for travelers. Brangus Glee, a Force-sensitive male elder of the species with brown skin, originated from the planet Dor Nameth. Glee frequented casinos and spaceports during the Galactic Civil War.[1]
Behind the scenes
- "'The thinker' among aliens?"
- ―Star Wars: Chronicles caption of an image of "Alien 23," referencing the famous statue
As revealed in the 1997 reference book Star Wars: Chronicles, the species' origins date back to the production stages of the 1983 film Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi, as one of several alien maquettes constructed for possible usage in the scenes taking place in Jabba the Hutt's palace. The maquette, known as "Alien 23," was among those scrapped before the film's production. An accompanying image caption in Star Wars: Chronicles compared the alien to The Thinker, a famous real-life statue.[2]
In 1998, the Star Wars Customizable Card Game's Special Edition Limited expansion set released the "Brangus Glee" card, which featured an image of the alien superimposed in a cantina background, thus bringing the species into Star Wars Legends canon.[1]
