The title of this article is conjectural.

Although this article is based on official information from the Star Wars Legends continuity, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

Members of the sentient Bosph species native to the planet Bosph had a native language that they spoke. In the language, the word Yentarr meant "unknown spirits" and was the name given to a deity-like being the Bosph believed in. The words ela b'Yentarr meant "the chosen of the unknown spirits" and was applied to individuals whom were sensitive in the Force, which was called abo b'Yentarr meaning "power of the unknown spirits".[1]

Behind the scenes

The Bosph language was first mentioned in the thirteenth issue of the Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game supplement magazine series Star Wars Adventure Journal published by West End Games in 1997. It was in an article titled "Alien Encounters" written by Brian Smithson.[1] A reduced version of the article was published in Alien Encounters, which was a collection of all "Alien Encounters" articles compiled by Paul Sudlow in 1998.[2]
