Boarding shuttles were a specialized type of shuttle. Used by military, pirate, and privateer forces, boarding shuttles were designed to deliver troops to an enemy vessel during a boarding action. The Katarn-class boarding shuttle was used by privateers and the Alliance to Restore the Republic.
